How to remove an orphaned DC that doesn't exist anymore

Hello, I have a couple of Domain Controllers that appear in AD that do not
exist anymore. How can I remove these orphaned domain controllers from AD?
Just as a side note: I will be upgrading to a 2003 AD structure after
removing these orphaned domains.
