How to remove a text-shadow type of effect?

We have a PowerPoint presentation that has some odd behaviour on two sheets.
Some hard-to-read fuzzy text has an effect that looks very much like text
shadowing. Unfortunately, the text shadow option is not ticked off. The
usual tricks of copying from the text box and pasting into Notepad (i.e.,
same as a paste special to achieve unformatted text) and then creating a new
text box and pasting the text in, doesn't remove this phenomenon. The text
concerns 2 pages in the Notes Page view only. All the other pages are fine.
I looked under a couple of the master but could find nothing. Our boss
created these notes and doesn't know what she did, so we're at sea.

Can anyone help pls that has an idea on what this is?

Thank you!

StargateFanWhoLikesWork,

There is two actual "shadow" settings within powerpoint.

One is the "text shadow" button (That's the 4th button next to Bold/Italic/Underline) on the toolbar.

The other is the "Shadow" button along the Draw menu (bottom left).

If you select the "actual textbox" with the notes. Then try either of the buttons to see if that text box has a "shadow"
assigned to it.

Oh, THANK YOU!! Our boss must have accidentally clicked on the Draw one.
Neither I nor my supervisor knew about this feature. When we clicked on the
"draw" shadow and chose "no shadow", the ghosting effect cleared! The
shadow is actually very nice on large font sizes, but made the 12pt text
very hard to read!

Thanks once again!

Yes, it can be a nice effect. On small font sizes, you wonder if you need to visit the opticians!

StargateFanWhoLikesWork,

<lol> Cute! It's because I'm plain SF when I write from home, but
SFFW when I use OE. This is new and liberating for me. I've only
ever accessed ngs from home with Agent. I figued out OE last week and
so I tacked that on so I could find my posts from work.
