I have a HD I salvaged from my old laptop. I put it in an external case. This
drive was configured to have an extra partion (I believe it's called) to
backup saved data. So, when the drive is plugged into the USB port, it shows
two drive as added. The primary section is 7.49 GB and the backup takes the
rest. It's a 10 GB HD. I tried formatting both of those drive letters, and
that didn't fix it. I tried going to computer management , then disk
management and tried to delete the partion. I messed around there and tried
a couple other things and couldn't fix it. How do I remove that extra drive
letter and make it so all of the space it dedicated to the one drive letter?
Thanks!

Go back to Disk Management , delete both partitions
then create 1 new one and then Format it.
