On a certain WinXP all borders of all windows are very, very thick/width.

Have a look at the following snapshot:

What is the reason resp. how can I reduce it to the "normal" size of (approx. 2 pixels) ?

Camille

Open Display Properties, "Appearance" tab, click "Advanced" button, and
change the "Active Windows Border" and "Inactive Window Border" to size
"1". You can click on the borders in the display, or scroll down
through the listed items.

Right-click on your desktop, pick Properties > Appearance > Advanced. Click
the arrow next to Item and select Active Window Border. Make it whatever
size you want (default, I believe, is 1). Then do the same for Inactive
Window Border. OK your way out and that should do it.

Right click on a blank area of the Desktop and select Properties.
Then "Appearance" tab > "Advanced" button. Select "Active Window Border"
(or "Inactive Window Border") and Set Size to 1.

Right-click on empty space on desktop -> Properties ->
Appearance (Tab) -> Advanced (button)
In the "Item" box, select "Active Window Boarder"
Then change the size down to 1 pt or whatever.
Then "OK" your way out.

John
