how to recover text lost due to BBS time out?

Once in a while I'm on a bbs, logged in, and typing up a new post into a
form. After laboring for a while, I click submit and it says "please log in
to submit post". Apparently the log in has timed out, and I just lost the
text.

How do I recover the text that I typed into the previous page? No, clicking
the back button only shows a blank form.

Is it in a cached file somewhere on my drive?

It's lost unless if you have a keylloged on your PC
 
WYSIWYG. Make it a habit to refresh one forum window or tab every 15
minutes or so. (Or use the Preview button frequently while you're in the
midst of composing a lengthy post.)
 
Next time copy the text to the clipboard before hitting the submit button so
it'll be on the clipboard so you can paste it back in - in case the site has
timed out on you in the meantime......
