Dear all,
I tried to post this earlier but I received an error message when I clicked
post. So I am sending this again. Apologies if somewhat two similar posts
appeared from me.
Windows XP Pro SP2
Following a malware attack, my Screen Saver menu (after Desktop -> Right
Click -> Properties -> Screen Saver) showed "On resume, display Welcome
Screen" option (checked) instead of "On resume, password protect" option
(checked).
Would appreciate help/guidance on how to bring back "On resume, password
protect" option in Screen Saver in place of (and to delete "On resume,
display Welcome Screen" notice if necessary to delete it).
Thank you for help/guidance,
jes
ps: this happened despite having an anti-virus, pop-up blocker, and being
cautious of not accepting anything from internet. all i did on this occasion
was to click on a link that was returned following a search on google using
the terms "how to search google effectively". almost immediately my
anti-virus went real busy but unfortunately this one malware (that i know
of!) went through - truly terrifying.
