How to recover an overwritten a file by mistake?

Hello,

I have mistakenly saved / overwritten a file. I mean while savinga file I
chose another file's name and when the computer asked that the file already
exist - do you want to overwrite it? I pressed YES.

Is there any way to regain the access to the old file??

Please advise.

Nope overwritten is overwritten. That is why it asked you to be sure. If the
file was stored on a network drive you could ask your IT department to
restore the file from a backup tape which they should be able to do. You
might have to buy them some donuts though.
