I have some files that I want to burn to a cd-rw disc. I
want to be able to add to the disc at a later point, and
i also want to be able to read the disc on other
computers. I am using Windows XP Pro.

Use Nero and CDR's. When you burn a data disc Nero will ask if you want to
close, say no. The next time you want to add files just pop in the disc and
start Nero and when the wizard asks if it is a new or a continue existing...hit
continue and Nero will find the cdr and show how much space is available.

Give the CDRW discs to someone that you don't like very much.

Hi, Karim.

Ed's suggestion is one way. Another is to format your CD-RW discs with a
"packet-writing" program, such as InCD, a companion program to Nero. With
this type of program, you will format your discs in advance, just like a
floppy or a hard drive. Then you can add, delete, edit, etc. - as we
usually say, just like a very slow HD or a very large floppy. Backing up my
Quicken file to my HD, for example, takes only a second or two, but it takes
about 20 seconds to write to my CD-RW (using InCD).
