Hallo,

I'm using Windows XP in a local network and I've a problem.
Sorry, if I'm using wrong expressions. I have installed the
german version of Windows and don't know the exact english words.
But I try to translate the german expressions.

In the Windows explorer I've connected to some net drive.
I've not assigned a drive letter for it. I just chose the computer
(net environment ???->
complete network ->
Microsoft Windows network ->
GROUP NAME ->
COMPUTER NAME)
He asked me for the user/account name and a password (valid on
the remote machine, of course). I also chose "save/store password".

The problem now is that I cannot reconnect to this machine with another
user (e.g. administrator). Always when I choose this computer again
in Windows Explorer, it just shows me the drives - but with the rights
of the user that I've chosen at the beginning. There is no context menu,
which lets me to stop the automatic connection.

Any solution is wellcome:
registry (maybe someone knows where the password is stored),
command shell, modifying the remote machine (I have access to it
as well - of course, I don't want to delete the account on this
machine)

Thanks for any comments,
Norbert

Hallo,

I've solved the problem:

In "system settings"???/"user accounts" one can manage and delete
the network account information for each remote machine
(for the selected user).
