Hi,
The Start window on my computer has 7 areas, some of which I would like
to be able to possibly rearrange and customize. To keep question and
answer threads focused, I'm breaking up the questions into 2 or 3 parts.
Here's Part 1.
(1) At the bottom, spanning the entire window, is a single-line section
containing "Log Off" and "Turn Off Computer". I would like to get rid of
"Log Off" and replace it with "Stand By" (which we see when we invoke
"Turn Off Computer". If that isn't possible, can I at least get it in
that pane?
I'm ok, for now ( ), with the two panes on the top-left.
(2) Top-right pane: This is the one that, by default, has "My
Documents", "Favorites", etc. Is there a way to get a user-defined
shortcut, ideally with my own icon, into the top level of that pane?
More questions follow, though answers to these may obviate them.
Oh yeah, *please* let me know if this is the most appropriate forum for
these questions. There seems to be a lot of overlap among many of the XP
forums.
TIA
