What are you using to read the document now? I don't know if you'll
require Office; do you have a word processor installed now?

XP Home does not include a word processor. If you want one, you'll need
to buy one. Or you can download and install OpenOffice which is a free
office suite from www.openoffice.org.

I don't really understand why you think you can't have two documents
open at the same time. Maybe you could describe what you are trying to
do a little better.

Can you simple write the translation on the bottom of the document and cut
the top out leaving just what you have typed?

You will need enough screen display area in order to have both
documents visible at the same time. There are two main ways of
accomplishing this:

1. Use a large monitor at high resolution. I have a 19 inch monitor
working at 1280 x 1024 resolution, which allows me to have two open
documents at the same time without one obscuring the other provided I
resize the windows and position them properly.

2. Use 2 monitors. This is exactly the sort of situation where the
multiple display capabilities of Windows XP work best. You will need
a video card with at least two video outputs (or two video cards that
will work together in your computer) and a second monitor.

Good luck

Open document 1. Open document 2.
Right click taskbar and select Tile Windows. Choose between tile horizontal
and tile vertically. Vertical will place the documents side by side.
Horizontal will place one above the other.
