I disabled it, thinking that i was reducing the number of processes
running on my computer: Now i cant get it working again now i realise
i need it.

I went through some processes (the ones with the icons in the section
next to my date/time counter in the bottom right corner) and looked
through them to see which ones were relevent or not, it seemed that
they were on, without always being used, so i switched some of them
of, assuming that seeing as the software was not deleted, as and when
i needed them, they would work again.

javascript was one of these. now whenever i try to use something like
youtube and any of the other sites that require javascript, it says
that i have it disabled, but i have tried to re-enable it, but
nothing
works. i have been to internet options - security - custom levels -
enable scripting... infact that was on as it should have been, but
still no luck with getting it "enabled" and able to use it.

any ideas what i should do? I am not a PC pro or anything (obvious
from me disableing thing in the first place huh!?) so simple point by
point help would be greatly appriciated. thanks.

I wouldn't think javascript would affect windows running generally - JS is
used for web sites.
