What can I do to quiet the fan noise in my PC? I've got an AMD 4800,
Asus board, and Lan Boy case.

Maybe a Zalman water cooler?

Thanks for any ideas.

Which motherboard model?

Which fan? The power supply fan? CPU fan?
Video card fan? Case fans? There can be a lot of fans
in a system.

Water cooling will do it but it's not necessary to make your computer quiet.
I'm using the Super Lanboy case and have made mine very quiet. You need to
put voltage mods on the fans to lower the RPM. Your case came with two 120mm
4pin fans, I changed mine to two 120mm 3pin fans as the Zalman volt mods
require 3pin connectors. I then put a Zalman V700cu VGA cooler on my video
card and then used a volt mod on that too. I put in a Seasonic PSU that has
a 120mm fan that runs at only 750rpm. Finally, I put a volt mod on the cpu
fan. Some people wouldn't suggest lowering the RPM of the cpu fan but my cpu
temp was so low that I could get away with it, and that's just an AMD stock
cpu cooler.
