How to put forwarded mail in sent folder

I noticed when I forwarded email, it didn't put it in my sent folder. The
forwarded message stayed in the folder from which I sent it. I don't want
that. Please advise.
 
What version of Outlook do you use?

Have you checked the option to save sent email in your sent items folder?
Tools > Options > E-mail options.

For released version of Outlook, click Tools>Options>E-mail Options>Advanced
E-mail Options and uncheck the box labeled "In folders other than Inbox, save
replies with original message".
