How to protect the personal data in the removable flash memory if it is lost?

I wonder the U3 flash memory can do this, can it? and the "encrypted" flash
memory is not so common I think. so how to protect the personal data in the
removable flash memory from being viewed if it is lost?

This isn't U3, but it is encrypted. 1GB, $50 USD. The claim is,
it uses a mandatory password, with limited tries at the password
before the device is locked out. Once locked out, you have to
reformat the drive, in order to use it again (losing all files
in the process). The third document describes the partitions
installed on it. The "CD-ROM" partition contains an autorun,
and that prompts for the password.

I'm not sure what you mean? If you know the password, you can open the
archive and view the files, if not, you're not getting in. Now if the files
you're wanting to protect are VERY important and could cause significant
damage to you or your customers, I would look into more of a commercial 3rd
party software for encryption. But for general use, WinRAR does a pretty
good job of securing your data.
