Hello,

When using FP2000, I often want to update my web site on the server by
publishing from my home pc but there are some files I never want to change
on the server unless I do it myself by opening the site on the server. These
would be form data files in the private folder. Is there a way to set FP not
to update certain files? I know about clicking on "publish on changed pages"
but I want these files in the private folder set not to be updated through
publishing.

thanks,

Make sure you have a files of the same name on your local machine in the
_private folder, then select each and set each to not be publish.

1. Open the source (sending) Web site.
2. Locate the file in the Folder list or in Folders
view, then right-click it.
3. Choose Don't Publish from the shortcut menu.

This will remain in effect indefinitely, until you repeat
the procedure.
