Hello
How to print two tables from two sheets on one page? I have to put the
tables on different sheets because they should have different column widths
and, therefore I can't place them one under another. They also should have
different row heights.

One approach:
-Create a new sheet
-Copy Table 1
-On the new sheet, hold down shift while invoking Edit>PastePictureLink on
the main menu.
-Copy Table 2
-On the new sheet, hold down shift while invoking Edit>PastePictureLink on
the main menu.
NOTE: holding down shift is critical. PastePictureLink won't appear as an
option otherwise.

You now have pictures of the 2 tables on a single sheet. Any changes to the
original tables (cell contents OR formatting) will be reflected on the
pictures because they are linked.

Since you are dealing with pictures that "float" on top of your new
worksheet, matching column widths is a non-issue (other than a potential
aesthetic one). You will probably need to play around with formatting to
get a satisfactory combination (i.e., gridlines on/off vs. borders, format
the pictures to have a fill, etc.), but once you do, you only have to keep
the original tables updated and your "combo page" is automatically ready to
print.

Hope this helps,

Thanks.
Is there an easer way to print two tables with different column widths and
row heights on a single page?

Excel XP has a camera tool that I have used that might help. Select the area
you want to copy and then click the camera tool. Then go to where you want
to paste it and click and it should be pasted. Formatting is kept.
However, this is considered an image, so you can't do any calculations, etc.
with the pasted image.

Sorry, I don't know of an easier way (except for maybe using the camera tool
which is pretty much the same thing).

To simplify it, you can skip the 3rd sheet that I described and simply
Copy/PastePictureLink table 2 onto the same sheet as table 1 (or vice
versa), if this is appropriate for your particular situation.

Alternatively, you could copy the tables and PasteSpecial/PasteLink them
onto a single page in a Word document, but that isn't easier, just
different.

Dmitriy,

You can try my Excel add-in "Print Desired Pages" that automates the process
that George and Judy have told you about.
It will print all selected areas, in a workbook, on a single page, stacked
one above the other. Affected sheets have to be selected before using the
add-in.
Selections exceeding about 38 rows in height are reduced to the height of 38
rows. Also, multiple selections must be able to fit on one page or the
program adds another sheet and continues stacking the selections.
It has an option to specify the number of blank rows between selections.
There are some other nice features too.

Available for free upon direct request, remove xxx from my address.

Another way is to look at the printer's property and pick 2 pages per
sheet.
