how to print a booklet

Is there any freeware that can print a pdf file as a booklet? Like
say you had a 20 page document, you would print page 20,1 on the first
side of the first page and 2,19 on the other side, so when you folded
the paper in half you would have 1,2,19,20 On the next page you would
print 18,3 and 4,17 on the other side. Then you would have
1,2,3,4,17,18,19,20 etc, etc, etc. That way you could print a 20 page
document on 5 pieces of paper in a convenient booklett format.

Why not set your printer to print double-sided
