How to prevent clearing history?

I want to make sure my kids do not go to some bad sites. I usually check the
history log. I have it set to keep history for 30 days. But it appears
someone keeps clear the history. Is there a way to prevent them from clearing
the history?

For XP there are two registry edits on line 101 left side at this site

1 prevents history from being removed the other one undo's the first

Download this index.dat viewer.
http://www.acesoft.net/index.dat viewer/index.dat_viewer.htm
Index.dat is a hidden folder in IE that keeps a record of all site's the
computer visits and is NOT erased when the history is cleared, this way your
kids will think that they pulled a fast one on you but you will know where
they have been :-)
