How to prevent automatic reboot

I've set up an SUS server and pointed my other servers to
it for updates. The script the servers receive has a
registry key that tells the client server to reboot if
there is no one logged on and this feature is either on or
off. If I turn it off, will the server just reboot
regardless or will it not reboot at all? How can I do
automatic updates with SUS without letting each server
reboot until I have control of it? (Besides leaving the
server with a logged in account.) My biggest concern is
that the server may reboot while a tape backup is in
progress.

Evelyn,

If you do not want the server to reboot, set it to automatically download &
notify. This will mean the updates are delivered to the server and the
client will not perform the installation & reboot, but wait for an
administrator to do it manually.

If the backup is your only concern, than it would be easy for you to
schedule an automatic installation outside of the backup operations.
