How to present with a laptop and a desktop

Hi may i know if i can use my laptop and desktopto do a presentation, if so
may i know if i needed some cables and what they may be thank you.

NB: i have been creating presentations for friends but i have never myself
presented one so i wanted to try out using my two computers at home

If you are trying to use the monitor from the desktop just unhook it from
the desktop and hook it up to the laptop using the monitor's VGA cable. Use
the Fn + dedicated F key (which is machine specific, but some of the common
keys are F3, F4, F5 & F7) to switch between laptop display only, laptop +
external monitor, and external monitor only.

If you are trying to display it on the laptop and it is currently on the
desktop, copy the folder that the data files are located in to the laptop.

If these are not what you want to do, we definitely need more information
than you are giving in your question.
