How to playback on a DVD player

Thanks papajohn. I finally did get my project burned to CD. Now I am wondering how I can get it to playback on a normal DVD player. If I am correct, a CD with images would still playback on a DVD player right? Does it have to be saved to a DVDR to playback on a DVD player or can I just use CDRs. I already tried using a CDR, but when I put it in my DVD player I it read: NO DISC. Is this just the fact that it needs to be on a DVDR or does there need to be some type of conversion program so it plays on home DVD players? Sorry to take up more newsgroup space; I'm still learning:-) Thanks again

I assume you used your images in MM2 to produce a WMV/HighMAT CD, in which
case they are not image files on the disc. They would be video files.....
and won't play in anything but the new wave of players coming out that
support video (wmv).

You have to use other software to create an MPEG file, author the disc and
burn it to today's standard discs.... it's not done with Movie Maker.

See the CD Burning and DVD Software sections of my website.

MovieMaker will only make cd's that are playable in pc's. In order to make a
vcd/svcd which is playable in a dvd player then you'll need some other
software. From MM, you will save your movie as a dv-avi file and then import
it into something like TMPGenc, which will make great svcd's.
See here for a link to tmpg download, free trial version.
