Hi, I find someone's word document contains a marked word, when move mouse
on that word, a message show: This is added by Tom, or This should be
deleted.
I think its very useful if a document need to be modify by several persons.
But I have no idea how to play this trick. Anyone can tell me?
Thanks!

Hi CM,

It sounds like comments that can be inserted from the Insert menu.

Another possibility is that Track Changes has been turned on. Double click
on TRK on the bottom toolbar.

Please post any further questions or followup to the newsgroups for the
benefit of others who may be interested. Unsolicited questions forwarded
directly to me will only be answered on a paid consulting basis.

Hope this helps

The inserted comments are always with yellow backcolor. I am just wondering
how to change the backgroud color? I tried Option-> Revise but not working.
Thanks!

Hi CM,

That means that they are comments and AFAIK you cannot change the colour.

Thanks for your reply. I think you are right, the tricks in that document
which I mentioned seem not comment, as those tricks are not on the list of
comment. So, what are they? They look like inserted comments but not on the
list.

CM

They are tracked changes. The color is set on the Track Changes tab of Tools
| Options. It can be set to a specific color or "By Author."
