How do I place a program into the tray. I've downloaded a program called
TRAY that is suppose to accomplish it. But I am unable to install the
program TRAY. Can anyone tell me how to install the program TRAY, or
otherwise how to place a program into the Tray.

All I do is drag the icon from the desktop into the tray
at the bottom, to immediate right of start button. If you
do not have an icon on the desktop, make a shortcut and
put the shortcut on your desktop and then drag the
shorcut cut to the tray. Hope this is the info you needed.

Better right-click on an empty arewa of the tray first and de-select
the "Lock the Taskbar" option. Then drag-and-drop, and finally go back
and lock the tray again. Sometimes the taskbar won't accept any icons
when it's locked. I think that depends on how many icons are already
down there.

Put a shortcut to the program (using tray) in the folder
\Documents and Settings\your user name\Start
Menu\Programs\Startup

Not sure what you actually mean but maybe this helps?

Right click on task bar/toolbars/& make sure Quick Launch is ticked.
Then it's just a matter of drag'n'drop!
