Hi all,

I am looking for a way to permanently remove or disable the address bar from
Windows Explorer in Windows2000. I'm guess there's a registry setting out
there somewhere that can accomplish this, but can't seem to find it.

There are quite a few topics out there explaining how to do this for
INTERNET Explorer, or solutions that work only in XP. Please allow me to
clarify ... I am looking only for a solution in WINDOWS Explorer, for the
Windows 2000 platform.

Also, yes, I know if I right click the toolbar I can uncheck the address bar
& it will go away. However, this is not a permanent solution.

Anyone out there have the answer to this one?

Thanks in advance!

Dave

Use NoAddressBar at tip 1976 in the 'Tips & Tricks' at http://www.jsifaq.com
It works for IE 5.01 through the current release.
