default. is this possible?

Unfortunately you must chose "Paste special" and select "Microsoft Visio
drawing" to embed the drawing into your slide.

Enjoy with Visio

Hi,

When i insert an object as create from file to powerpoint, it is not image,
it can be edited as visio object.

My customer often use visio to copy objects to powerpoint, also he want to
change objects after paste it. But he do not want to paste special each
time, he wants to embed objects as visio object drawings by selecting paste.
i know this seems to inpossible but any solution welcome..

Hey guys.....I just cut and paste (no paste special, no image). In fact once
I copy it....I can then right click the drawing and select open to
visio...and it opens it in visio with full visio tool suite (stencils and
all).

I have used it this way for 5 years acros 3 different laptops. I am not
aware anything I did special to make this work. Do all the time with word
docs as well.

So not sure the issue (probably did 15 times today alone)

which version of office do you use? This issue occurs on powerpoint 2007,
there is no problem with powerpoint 2003.

PowerPoint 2007 pastes Visio diagrams as images by default now. I don't
believe there is a way to change the default paste action.
