How to Pass an COLLECTION as an Argument to a Procedure (PART 2)

Hi All

I have found the following Microsoft Technet 'Q'
Article :-

BASICALLY I'm after the same as this but instead of sending an ARRAY I
really want to send a COLLECTION (sort of by value), the reason for
this is to work in a more OO way and pump some values into a Function
(or Class Method) and have the function 'abstract' the work and send
me back results which may or may not be a COLLECTION

I'm also very surprised that I have not seen anyone else asking this
type of question.

Any Ideas...???

SUMMARY
In order for a procedure to accept an array as an argument, the
procedure must declare the array argument with opening and closing
parentheses after the argument name. Additionally, when passing the
array to the procedure, you must include parentheses after the array
name, unless you are using Visual Basic. Otherwise, you may receive
the error message "Parameter type mismatch" or "Duplicate definition."

declarations with an array:

The following example demonstrates the correct syntax for procedure
calls with an array:

YourSubName YourArrayName()

NOTE: When calling procedures in Visual Basic for Applications, you do
not have to include the opening and closing parentheses after
"YourArrayName" in the above example.

The following example demonstrates a sample user-defined function that
loads an array with string values:
Create a module and type the following line in the Declarations
section if it is not already there:

Type the following procedures:

I am not sure what your problem is here?

Why not continue this thread on your previous post?

oCollection.Add "aaa"
oCollection.Add "BBB"
oCollection.Add "CCC"

oBO.ShowColleciton oCollection

The above should work just fine. Why are you posting some huge document
about passing arrays? You are not trying pass an array to a procedure, you
are trying to pass a collection to a class object (a rather different
thing). I see no reason to post all that stuff on arrays for your problem.
Quit being such a bone head here. At the very lest, why not just post the
link. (however, that post served NOTHING in any way to help with your
problem. Regardless, your whole posting helps no one to solve your
particular problem anyway.

The above example code should work just fine. Perhaps you are using
collections incorrectly, or your BO object function is not defined
correctly. For the above, the function showcollecion in the class object BO
would be:

Public Function ShowCollection(col As Collection)

MsgBox "Item count in collecton = " & col.Count

End Function
