I want to be able to open windows explorer and have the left pane showing
the folders instead of having to click on the folders button every time I
open it. Any ideas? TIA

Explorer.exe /e, C:
This opens C:\ in Explorer view (with folder bar)

Explorer.exe /n, C:
Opens C:\ in normal folder view

Hi,

Go to Windows Explorer/Tools/Folder Options/File Types/Folders. Advanced,
left click Explore, Set as default.

For all explorer views, open regedit and look for this key:
HKEY_Classes_Root\folder\Shell and edit the default to "explore".

Durand
