how to open UDP and TCP from visto

Hi everyone may help

I read from vista help information, it say that if vista wants see XP from
the same network, it should op UDP and TCP, please tell where and how to open
them, thanks

File and Print Sharing should be enabled on the Windows Firewall on each PC.
That will open the appropriate ports. On each PC open the Firewall and make
sure the File and Print Sharing check box is checked in the Exceptions tab.

Also make sure NetBIOS over TCP/IP is enabled on each PC...
