I am really confused! I have IncrediMail and part of
IncrediMail is the "Notifiers" which I have lost. So I
contacted their support staff who is telling me to "Only
open Internet Explorer" to download Shockwave Flash from
Macromedia.com. They say it wont work if any other
search bar is open. I've tried it by only using the
Internet explorer search bar, but it doesn't work. I
cannot get Shockwave Flash to download. Can anyone out
there tell me what I am doing wrong? Thanks for any help
whatsoever in advance!

"Opening" a program is the same as launching it. For example, clicking
Start> Internet Explorer will launch Internet Explorer.

I'm not sure what Incredimail is referring to or why but you could use
Internet Options> Advanced> "Disable third party browser extensions" to
disable third party browser tools. Restart as prompted by this change, then
try grabbing the flash player from macromedia.com.Recommend saving the
downloaded setup file to the hard drive. Run it to install the player after
the download has completed.
