I have not used Powerpoint before and have looked in their "help" box, but
cannot find an answer. I have searched google and they pretty much refer to
2003 powerpoint and I have 2000. How can I get Powerpoint to automatically
open a file?
An example of what I want to do is: I receive an attachment that is ppt, it
says it cannot open it. But if I save it to the desktop, then go into
Powerpoint and go to file > open > then find the file, it opens. This seems
like the long way around.
Is there a way to get PowerPoint to automatically open the file?

Gosh - I figured it out - it was relatively easy, wonder why they didn't
just say this in their help section. Well thanks anyway.

You know where it asks you what program you want to use to open a document >
I said PP, and then clicked on the radio button that said "use this program
to open all files like this". That did it!!!
