Bizarrly I can find many links on how to open an access file in
openoffice Base, yet no where does it say how I can do it the other
way?! Please need help with this, as I have spent an age making a
datase on Openoffice.org Base and we need to now open it in Access.

Does OpenOffice provide a driver? Access can link to data files in just
about anything that provides a driver. That would not be the same as "being
able to open the file in Access" though. I doubt that is possible.

Hi Rozy,

It's not possible to open an Open Office Base file in Access (and I'm
sure that OO Base can only "open" Access mdb files in a very limited
sense). But if there's an ODBC driver for OO Base and you can install it
ion your computer, Access (and many other applications) will be able to
use the data.
