Is there a way with Remote Desktop to make it only accept connections from
clients with specific IP addresses? Or maybe specify an aceptable range of
IPs? Or whose IP address matches a mask, for example, "10.1.*.*" ?

Not that I know of. Its possible a VPN server could do that then run RDP
through the VPN tunnel. Its also possible some firewalls/routers might be
able to be configured to only allow incoming traffic from certain
addresses...

Windows Firewall allows you to change the "Scope" and specify a
"custom list (IP)" for any Exception (Remote Desktop)

Duh...Your right. I forgot about that completely...:-)

In fact I use that feature of the firewall on my local LAN to limit File &
Print Sharing access to certain local IPs...
