How to offline defination update?

I have a question regarding the update signature mechanism.

Is there a way to download (or if Microsoft provide this method) spyware
signature so that some computers that can't access Internet but still need
the protection or require scanning can benefit from offline updating?

Please advise.

Right click on MSAS icon within systray and choose shutdown.

Right click and "Save target as..." on the links below:

http://download.spynet.com/ASDefinitions/gcDeterminationData.gcd
http://download.spynet.com/ASDefinitions/gcThreatAuditScanData.gcd
http://download.spynet.com/ASDefinitions/gcThreatAuditThreatData.gcd

Copy/paste these files to Program files/Microsoft Antispyware

Restart MSAS and "check for updates"
If the http:// does not work, try https:// instead.

Or copy these three files from already updated MSAS machine, from ..\Program
Files\Microsoft AntiSpyware folder.
