When I click on a link for Powerpoint files on the web, it
opens in the slide show mode. Do you know what I need to
do so it would not open in slide show mode?

Thanks!

Assuming it's a link to a ppt or pps file

Right click the link and choose "save as" or "Save Target as" or similar

You can also create a popup window from the link ; in the popup window, add
the following tag :

<META HTTP-EQUIV="Content-Type" CONTENT="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1">
<META HTTP-EQUIV="Refresh" CONTENT="4;URL=http://www.mysite.com/mypres.ppt">

When the popup opens, the download alert will display.

Thanks for the response. I am puzzled that the same
hyperlink that I would open as a powerpoint file when I
clicked on it before now opens as a slide show. I would
like to find out what I changed to cause this and change
it back. I do know how to save it but I prefer not to
keep saving every file. If you figure out what I could
have done un-intentionally, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks!
