how to name many columns

how do you name a column to extend over several columns in excel?

just select the columns and put a name in the NAME box next to the formula
box

Hi Ben

I read your question slightly differently to Don, who gave you a method of
creating a named range.
I interpreted you request as wanting to enter a label, but have it spread
across many columns.
If that is correct, then select the cells you want>Right
click>Format>Cells>Alignment>Horizontal>Center across Selection.
