I had tried moving the target of my documents from c: to D:, but when I open the folder ,click on my music,my video ,my picture,it automatically redirect me to C:\documents and settings .........

How do I avoid this?
Thank you.

With Powerquest partition magic you get "drive mapper"
which scans your system for targets and changes them to
what you want.

How did you move "My Documents"?

That is, did you right-click, select Properties and type a new path there?
This always works for me (in XP).

Depending on how you moved the My Documents target, it may not have
moved the My Music and My Video user shell folder locations.

Try moving the target by right-clicking My Documents. Move it back to
the original location and then move it where you want it. The subfolders
should now also have been moved.

If this still doesn't work, see my Shell Folders Move document on
Kelly's web site. http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_shell_folders.htm
