If I move an existing workgroup file to a new folder, what do I have
to do to ensure that it is "found" in it's new location by the Access
2002 database? Would it be better to create a new workgroup file in
the new folder? Thanks in advance for your help.

The workgroup is used by the session of Access, not really the database
(many databases can authenticate users in a single workgroup file - for that
matter a single database can be used with more than one workgroup file).

If your database is launched via a desktop shortcut (recommended), you'll
need to modify the target in the shortcut to reflect the new location.

"path to msaccess.exe" "path to mdb" /wrkgrp "path to mdw"

If you don't use a desktop shortcut (not recommended), then you'll need to
use the workgroup administrator (Tools, Security menu) to join the workgroup
in its new location.

I was able to copy the WIF to the desired location and have users join
it at that location. Everything works fine now.
