I bought a new 80gb HD to replace my 30gb and I want to copy over the entire
partition and data. What will I need to do this? Partition Magic? Thanks

What kind of hard drive? My Western Digital 160GB drive came with software
(Data Lifeguard) that has a provision for doing a drive-to-drive copy.

Exactly, the HDD manufacturers offer this software for download if it
didn't come with the drive.

Partition Magic won't copy it but Drivecopy or DriveImage, Ghost, etc,
would... but why buy those for only a single copy?

Ghost...or Drive Image...or BootItNG.

And do it from the boot floppy...not from within Windows.

Have a nice week...

Follow Joan Rivers' example --- get pre-embalmed!
