My computer is on an active directory domain and running Windows XP
professional, SP2 full patched. The problem was that my computer denied my
access from the network and, after some investiagation, I found out that the
assigned value of the policy of "access this computer from the network" was
blank in the "user right assignment". Then, I tried to add the appropriate
users and groups but the modification didn't work and the policy was still
blank. I am a novice to network, please advise me how to make changes to the
"user right assignment". Any suggestion is much appreciated!

I'd suggest you speak to the people who administer & support your domain for
assistance with this.
