How to maximize link windows in IE6

When following links on a web page all the new windows
open small. How can I make them open maximized? I'm
running IE6.0.2600 under XP Home.

Open such a link.
Don't use the maximize button.
Stretch the edges/corners so that the window fills the
screen.
Close all other IE windows.
Close the stretched window last.

Hi Henri - Thanks for the suggestion. I tried it three
times, but it didn't work. Actually, it's not when I just
click a link, it's when I right click and request "Open in
New Window" that I get the small window. I forgot to
mention that in my original post. Any new suggestions?
