How to make XP Internet Time Sync daily not weekly? (registry setting?)

There must be a registry setting or some such, anyone know what it is?
(this is the "internet time" feature on "Date and Time Properties" -
when enabled, it triggers once a week. Once a day is better for us with
icky clocks)
thanks!

You have an icky clock, because you have a dying battery. And that battery will
do irreparable damage corroding traces and solder joints if it remains in
place.

It'll cost plenty to repair, and it'll never be the same if you send it to a
repair place to get it fixed. That's assuming you know of a place that can
repair it vs black box swaps.

my 1st incident with a repair place, showed me some places can't be trusted to
install a floppy drive.
4 screws and 2 connectors.
Epson eventually dropped them and they went out of business.

Wouldn't it be easier (and actually better for your system) to replace the
system battery so your clock isn't so "icky" anymore? :)

Hi

Is your system keeping time? If so you can alter the default 7 day update
to 24 hours via the Registry:

Navigate to the following in the Registry:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\W32Time\TimeProviders\NtpClient]

in the right hand pane double click on 'SpecialPollInterval' and change the
Decimal value to 86400. That is in seconds for 24 hours. You will need to
reboot your system for the change to take effect.

Please backup the Registry first. A good program to backup/restore the
Registry - is ERunt:

thank you Will Denny

Others - the battery is not corroded - just clocks on some PCs suck
(lose a minute a week, for example)
