My BIOS is usb 2.0 enabled. I can see VIA USB 2.0 Enhanced Host
Controller and USB 2.0 Root Hub Device working properly from Device
Manager. My usb 2.0 device is always connected to the 1.0 usb
controller? What do I miss? I'm using Windows 2000 Server SP4. Mother
board is GA-7VRX. Thanks.

Hi:
If you look to the specification of your Motherboard,

http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Products/Motherboard/Products_Spec.aspx?Pr...

you have
a.. 1 x USB 1.1 connector (support 2 ports by cable)
a.. 2 x USB 2.0 connectors (support 4 ports by cable)

Be sure that you connect your device to your usb 2.0 connectors. Also check
in the VIA webside that your have the latest controllers for your VIA
KT333/8233A chipset.

http://www.via.com.tw/en/index.jsp

I have only 2 USB ports available. And I think both of them are 1.1.
Does it mean that I need to buy new hardware for the 2.0 connectors?
