Hi All,

I have made an install sheild which add some customized addin into the
"Links" bar ( which appear at the right to the "Go" button" , but the
mandatory things i want to do here is that i don't want the user to
expand this bar to see the addin , after the installation i want this
bar to be in expanded mode

Any help will be appreciated

Thanks in advance
Sajin

Hi Sajin,
ITBarLayout controls the position and width of toolbars. There was a malware
toolbar called tiny bar that exploited this. Why you want to hide your
add-in begs suspicion. Why don't you just use a BHO i/o a toolbar if you
want your add-in to be invisible to the user?
Some toolbars use a satelite BHO to write to ITBarLayout to position their
toolbar. You can do this during your installashield script, then close all
IE instances and restart IE, then use the showbrowserbar method to display
your toolbar.

Regards.
