How to make table, query, etc. list stable.

I just upgraded from 2003 to 2007.

I hate the way the queries and tables are listed, taking several lines
per object. I like the old way. More importantly,

If I click in the Sliderbar below the slider button, I would expect to
get a single page of scroll.

What I get is a jump of some indeterminate amount, followed by seven or
eight adjustments like a spring going back and forth, and when it
finally settles down, it is moved far more then one page.

What I want is ONE click, ONE scroll, ONE page.

Instead what I get is ONE click, several scrolls in different
directions, and 2 to 3 ages of scrolls when it finally settles down.

Please help? I get seasick everytime I am looking for a query. It is
impossible to find a query other then scrolling through one at a time.

Same here. I was just getting dizzy trying to click on a particular form. It
took 3 tries to open it up in design view. Hopefully someon knows how to stop
this behavior.

This might be a known bug in A2007 SP2. There is one with the scroll
bar.

Thanks Tony,

I did a google search and it's definitely the SP2 bug. It was also nice to
see the number of people pleading for the return of the good old database
window. Good to know that I'm not the only one.

Tell me please, just exactly what did you search for? I had a hell of a
time coming up with keywords to search for, and never did find anything.
I woudl love to know when they are going to fix this, because it is a
huge time waster.

And Yes, the simple, basic database window that takes one line per
object rather then three or four, that can give me all the information I
might need, like creation date, modification date, etc, is far easier to
work with, and far more efficient, then what they have now.
