Hi! Anybody knows why I cann't make my photos smaller to
e-mail them? I know that "In the Send Pictures via E-mail
dialog box, click Make all my pictures smaller.
Windows makes a smaller photo file and attaches it to an
e-mail message that displays a default subject and text
message". But I don't have this "Send pictures via e-mail
with box "make my pictures smaller". I had one before but
now i don't. Do you have any idea why? Please help! Thank
you in advance. Nata

Hello, I have a similar problem. We have recently changed our ISP
Previously I could send photos through " my pictures" The message tha
keeps appearing is connecting me to our former ISP & will not connec
me to our current one. Because of this I am now trying to send photo
as an attachment in an e.mail, but like Nata I do not no how to mak
them smaller. Could any one help me with both of these problems.
Many thanks.

Hello, I have a similar problem.

I assume you mean digital still images, not video which this NG seems to
mainly cover

Anyway a good free prgram is IrfanView www.irfanview.com , highly
recommended and used by many to resize pictures for the web.

Use the menu or Ctl-R to resize. You can also optimise for the web, which
reduces the quality, but make the files smaller. I choose 75% - you see this
when saving. This difference in quality is not noticeable but make a
significant difference to the size.
