Hello!

My HP PrecisionScan Pro 2.03 gives images with different b&w threshold or
brightness, color and contrast than in its Preview window with my HP Scanjet
5p . How to make my HP PrecisionScan Pro 2.03 scan with the same adjustment
as in its Preview window?

The Desk Scan 2.9 shows a message that connection with my Scanjet 5p
malfunctions.

Best regards,

Dima

Thanks, Bob. Last time I visited that site, they made it so hard for me to
find my way around, I felt I was lucky to get anything--I have a 5p on my
W98 machine and hadn't thought I'd be able to use it on my XP. All they
said before was that XP wasn't supported. Now, they call it a 'Workaround'
I see, plus a patch is available. I wonder if that addresses the current
fuss on the latest XP patch. Now to get a USB to SCSI adapter, I guess.

Thanks again,
Joe

Scanjet 5p scans faster than most of recent models! Scanning specialists do
not recommend to use higher than 200 dpi resolution for photographs and 300
dpi for text!

I have been using 5p with Windows XP for 5 years already. I just have the
problem with HP PrecisionScan Pro 2.03 image adjusting.

Disabling ScanJet 5p in MS Windowx XP Device manager stops DeskScan 2.9
showing a message that connection with my Scanjet 5p malfunctions and makes
DeskScan 2.9 work with the ScanJet 5p!
