How to make it work?

(I originally posted this on alt.windows-w2k but got no response)

I currently have 2 HDs with 2 partitions (C and D, both FAT) on the first,
and one partition (E, NTFS) on the second. I have W98SE on C and later
installed W2K on E, and can boot to either with bootloader. I no longer
need W98 and really need to re-install the W2K system BUT, because of driver
problems, installing W2K is a real PITA and takes a long time. What I would
like to do is to replace the W98 system with a nice fresh install of W2K,
and be able to continue using the current W2K system until the new one is
complete - from past experience this is likely to take several days minimum.
What's the best way of doing this? I need to be able to use the m/c all the
time

1. Did you tryed to nrepair on Win 2000 on E:
2. Did you tryed to copy the CD contents to the hard disk.
3. Did you tryed to run setup from Windows to let it copy the files to your
hard disk.
4. Try an upgrade from Win 98.
