Is there a trick I don't know?
I bought a new GFORCE MEGADISK FANTOM 1TB external SATA hard drive and
have it connected as USB. I have formatted it, and have tested it to
store files and folders on it, and it works fine.
I thought the way to do it would be to simply use the XP installation
CD, so I disconnected all my other hard drives for safety, and tried
it. After the XP installer gets to the end of the initial loads, and
wants me to select where to put Windows, I select the FANTOM and it
immediately fails saying the selected partition cannot be used.
Maybe this is not the way to do it?
I see nothing in my ASUS M3A78-CM BIOS dealing with this,
The FANTOM manual is not helpful either.
Thanks for any suggestions
