I am SoLost!!
I have home movies that I loaded on my computer from my camcorder, I use
XP's MM1, and Nero is my burning program.
When I try to add my video that i want to burn to dvd, to the Video_ts
file, it isn't supported as its a WMV file and needs to be a VOB file, Can
anyone tell me how I go about doing this,

Open WMM and import the WMV. Save it to your hard drive as a DV-AVI file.
Import that file into Nero and tell it to make a DVD. Is there no tutorial
in the Help section of Nero or on their website?

There are excellent tutorials in Roxio and PowerDirector and
PowerProducer...

You may also want to read through PapaJohn's website at www.papajohn.org -
and buy his book - and through www.dvdrhelp.com

You need to convert the file from a WMV file to a MPEG-2 file. I use
TMPG-Enc to do this. From this point you need to convert the MPEG-2 file to
a VOB file, and again, I use TMPG DVD Author. Once you have all of that
completed, you can then go to Nero and load those files for burning. Hope
that helps.

Thank you SO much. I THINK I may have it figured out. All I have learned
with this program has been a fluke. I am virtually useless, when it comes
to terminoligy and basically anything techical. So I have figured out how
to save as DV-AVI file, and we will see how it goes from there.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP!
Kind Regards...
Shelly.

I noticed that you are still using Movie Maker V1. If you click on Help in
MM, then MM on the web, it will take you to the sight where you can download
V2.1 free. It is awesome! Transitions, special effects, very user friendly.

Also, if you use Nero 6 Ultra Edition, you then click on Make DVD Movie,
then add you MM file you saved as DV-AVi, tell it which drive to use to burn,
then burn. It's really easy. Good luck.
